At Bushcraft Survival Training, we believe in empowering individuals with essential bushcraft skills. Our mission is to teach you how to thrive in the great outdoors, even in challenging situations and learn how our survival techniques  can help you survive in the wild. .

Get Ready for Adventure with Bushcraft Survival Training

What Is Bushcraft and Survival ?

Bushcraft and Survival is a broad term for the skill-set used to live in the wilderness using traditional and improvised tools and available natural materials.

The 2-Day Field Course we offer is designed to pack as much instruction, challenge, and field experience as we can into a weekend camp.

Who is this course for?

A 2 Day Bushcraft Course covering bushcraft subjects suitable for all bushcraft enthusiasts wanting to further develop their bushcraft knowledge and skills as long as you are over 18 years of age you shouldn't have a problem. We excel in your education and learning while on the course  devising, organising, delivering and managing learning experiences for schools*, young person services and adults, in fact everyone that comes along leaves with a understanding of the great outdoors and they go out and on to their next adventure with a basic knowledge but most of all, a new group of like minded friends.One or Two nights wild camping in different locations so you get to build confidence making and breaking camp and LNT. A fun, sociable, solo-friendly group to adventure with.... and please remember, we have a detailed Pre-Adventure How To Guide, including guidance on  what to bring with you and how to manage weight of your pack so you don't over-pack. 

Why Attend?

This 2-day training course is practical and relevant for anyone who has an interest in Bushcraft, Hiking, Camping and basic skills needed to Survive. It is also beneficial to instructors, leaders and teachers working in all areas of; outdoor learning, education, personal or professional development, outdoor therapy, expeditions, etc. It is also a great course to develop your own bushcraft skills and knowledge. 

  

Accommodation

If you plan to camp with us overnight during your course, then you will need to bring all of your associated camping equipment yourself. Such as; tent/shelter/tarp/hammock etc, sleeping gear, cooking kit, eating kit & utensils, food, wash-kit, toiletries, towel, spare clothing etc. If you do wish to camp then please let us know via email beforehand. Drinking water is provided onsite for you to use. Please be advised that this is a private woodland-camping location but there are no toilets and showering/washing facilities, it is a wild-camping site and all waste MUST be removed from the site. Or you can stay at your own costing and expense near by and join us for the day usually 08:30hrs to 16:30hrs at camp. 


Alternative: EXTRA OPTION


An option to "add on" a bundle of brand new camping gear for you to keep.  This bundle is specifically selected for this Wild Camping for Beginners course, includes a tent, sleeping bag, an inflatable sleeping mat,  head torch, stove, gas, a cook-set, an inflatable pillow and a few other additional small extras for a great Bush Survival Wild Camping experience For £299.99p    


  

 Itinerary 

  

This course includes the following elements:

  • Safe shelter construction, Tarp, Bivvy, Tents, Wood.
  • Safe use of tools and knife law.
  • Establishing and maintaining fires by; bow drill, fire-steel, flint and steel and other methods.
  • Water sourcing, filtering and purification.
  • Ropes and Knots.
  • Tree ID & uses.
  • Natural navigation and MAP Reading with Compass
  • Cordage making from natural materials.
  • Emergency signaling.
  • First Aid.
  • Leaving no trace (LNT).

  • A two-day bushcraft camp.
  • Two nights of camping in the woods.
  • Bushcraft fundamentals.
  • Learn essential bushcraft skills. 
  • Meals are NOT provided please bring you own food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, Tea Coffee ect.(you are here to learn to cook by yourself in the outdoors).
  • Once booked you will receive an email with invoice and insurance details.
  • We will also recommend to you a kit list to bring along for the course.
  • All directions with grid references, what 3 words and emergency telephone number will be supplied for you to give family friends or other, however no visitors will be allowed unless there is an emergency.
  • All information along with a very important medical form which must be returned.
  • The course is also covered by the Data Protection Act, The Data Protection Act      2018 is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation      (GDPR).
  • The course is open to 18 years plus adults only.
  • No pets will be allowed.
  • We have medical private personal on standby locally.
  • Allocation is for 6 personal and 3 direction staff only at any one time.
  • Transport will not be provided, but pick up to from/to nearest bus stop or train will be provided.
  • No alcohol or recreation drugs allowed (smoking or vaping is allowed in designated areas).
  • Your  safety is paramount. 
  • The  course will be run by experienced Bushcrafters and Ex British Forces personal; you will be split into groups and the group will rotate onto the next lesson.

Outdoor learning professionals provide safe activities and effective  learning in the outdoors for the benefit of individuals, communities,  society and the economy.


We are trained, experienced and uphold the values and behavior  that help others adventure in their environment, gain skills and make a  positive difference for our world.

Professionals in outdoor learning may volunteer, work full-time or  part-role to positively impact areas such as sports participation,  outdoor education, youth development, well-being, workforce training or  adventure tourism.


As professionals in Outdoor Learning we have responsibility for shaping effective outdoor learning by exercising autonomy and judgement within medium / long term parameters. We have a minimum of at least five years' experience in outdoor learning (including at least two years in  a position of responsibility) plus degree level learning.
